Autobiography
I started drawing as a young child and my love affair with art continued throughout school and then art college where I attained my honours degree.

As with many other young boys in generations past I showed a keen interest in steam locomotives, cars and aircraft. Steam locomotives became the basis for my initial foray into the commercial art world through my membership of the Guild of Railway Artists.

I am also captivated by wildlife and my love for the subject grew further when on safari in South Africa. I had my first encounter with a wild lion. It was incredible to observe this majestic beast in its natural environment and I very much hope that I will be able to depict that ‘encounter’ at some point in the future.

All of those influences have had a lasting effect on my work. I enjoy immensely the challenge of creating on canvas the technical finery of natural or man-made form. Every element that I can discern I attempt to incorporate into my paintings and I feel the medium of Oils best suits this style.

In October 2008 I was taken on by a sponsor, Ben Horton of the books and memorabilia firm Horton’s. This has enabled my artwork to be exhibited at some of the most prestigious motoring events throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.
